I literally just signed up for Substack 3 minutes ago, went to my homepage and thought “it would be great to find other likeminded writers” and here was your post. Love it. Really spoke to me.
I really needed to read this. Life doesn’t always follow the plans we set, but that doesn’t mean we’re behind - it just means our story is unfolding in its own way. A great reminder to be patient and trust that what’s ahead might be even better than we imagined. cl
this is so timely and relevant! it's so easy to get spun into the whirlwind of others peoples' timelines and achievements, so this serves as a great reminder that patience is a virtue! Thanks for sharing! 🤍🤍
wow i love this <3 the best piece of advice i’ve ever received was “it’s a journey, not a race”, and this makes me think of that <3 thank you so much for posting
as an international student who moved back home to look for a job while several of my peers apparently found their calling immediately, i spent months weighed down by this feeling that I had taken a step back in life. this was so beautifully put and really reassuring to read 💗
anjanaa, you’re not behind because you’re an international student. in fact, you’re 10 steps ahead of the rest of us. the discomfort you feel now is making you grow in ways no one else has the opportunity to. just think of the stories you’ll be able to tell your friends and family from this unique experience! ♥️
"The best things in life don’t always follow our timeline." Truer words never spoken.

as a 19 year old who's still graduating high school this year this piece was very much needed ❤️🩹
So true. I definitely started or did many things, if not most, later in life. 🤍🐚
